HF83 Series

The HF83 series consists of 0.5mm pitch, ZIF, horizontal-mating, SMT, bottom-contact FPC connectors featuring a one-touch locking mechanism. Designed for applications such as automotive GPS and AV equipment, as well as industrial and medical electronics, these connectors are engineered to withstand vibration and prevent FPC/FFC cables from detaching or being inserted at an angle. A 1mm pitch version is also available.

Independent Dual-Contact Structure
The dual-contact design utilizes an independent spring structure; if one contact experiences poor connectivity due to foreign matter, the other maintains stable contact, ensuring high contact reliability.

High Retention Force for FPC/FFC
The HF83 series connectors use side stops to clamp the small ears on both sides of the FPC/FFC to achieve firm fixation. The holding force is higher than similar products and can still be used stably in a vibrating environment.

One of the Causes of Poor Connector Contact is the Partial Mating of FPC/FFC

The HF83 series utilizes FPC/FFC with small tabs, allowing for visual confirmation of the mating status through a notch in the flip-lock; this prevents contact failures caused by incomplete mating.



High-Temperature Resistance up to 125°C, Meeting Stringent Automotive Requirements

The terminals feature heat-resistant materials and an elastic design that effectively suppress thermal displacement, ensuring reliable contact at high temperatures of 125°C. They have successfully passed automotive-grade temperature cycling tests (-55°C to +125°C, 1,000 cycles) and heat resistance tests (125°C, 1,000 hours).


  • Suitable for 0.3mm Thick FPC/FFC Cables
  • Supports FPC/FFC cables with a thickness of 0.3mm, which is the standard thickness of 0.5mm pitch connectors. (The moderate rigidity of the reinforcement plate prevents the FPC from deforming, thus avoiding problems during insertion and connection).
  • There is no Need to Set a Pattern Keep-Out Area at the Bottom of the Connector
  • The underside of the connector is covered with resin to prevent terminal exposure. Consequently, there are no restrictions on circuit board trace routing, allowing for greater freedom in board design.
  • Complies With RoHS Environmental Requirements
  • Halogen-free; enhanced countermeasures against solder wicking.
    The connector does not contain chlorine or bromine levels exceeding the standard limits.
    Defined according to the IEC 61249-2-21 standard:
    Br: 900 ppm or less; Cl: 900 ppm or less; Br + Cl: 1,500 ppm or less.
  • Automatic Product Installation Mapping
  • Tape-and-reel packaging enables automated product installation.
    Standard products come in reels of 5,000 pieces, though sample packs of 500 pieces per reel are also available.
