Product Specifications

MFC Adapter Solution
Kyomori-Ka offers 2-port and 4-port MFC adapters that are compatible with both MFC and MFC-JR connections. The 2-port adapter fits into standard MPO panel cutouts, effectively doubling fiber density, while the 4-port adapter fits MDO cutout dimensions. Optional dust plugs are available for the adapters, and optional covers can be installed on unused ports.

MFC-JR and Adapter/Socket
The MFC-JR connector features a compact size that ensures a stable connection while minimizing the consumption of valuable space on the board or at the rear of the module/panel.
Optimized for:

*Optical Module
*On-Board Optical Components
*The Module Should

VMT Ferrule Technology
The VMT ferrule is based on the MT/MT-16 alignment structure proven in the MTO series; its shoulder design ensures precision polishing and mechanical stability, making it suitable for MFC applications and on-board fiber management, while also supporting optical modules and ruggedized connectors.
*250 μm pitch.
*Compatible with 250, 200, and 165 μm optical fibers.
*Compatible with corresponding MT and MT-16 inserts.
*Low insertion loss for SM APC and MM APC applications.

Product Features

The Kyomori-Ka MFC connector is an ultra-compact multi-fiber connector supporting single-mode and multi-mode fibers with diameters up to 2.5 mm. It utilizes TMT ferrule technology, is compatible with MT/MT-16 architectures, and features an innovative push-pull guiding design, making it suitable for high-density connectivity applications.
*Three times the port density of MPO-based cabling
*Kyomori-Ka push-pull guidance allows for easy insertion and extraction of the connector
*Utilizes a proven MT or MT-16 mechanical and optical fiber alignment structure.
*Compatible with standard 250 µm OD and pitch fibers
*VMT ferrule series: low-loss, IEC Grade B insertion loss performance (0.25 dB, 97% random mating)
*APC for SM and MM applications
*Available in 1×12, 1×16, 2×12, and 2×16 variants
*Tested to Telcordia GR-1435 standards
*Cable outer diameter up to 2.5 mm
*Support for standard cabling industry infrastructure, including cleaners, polishers, interferometers, and optical test equipment

The bottom guide rail feature ensures the connector is installed with the correct polarity orientation.

The VMT ferrule design adheres to the precision alignment specifications of IEC 61755 and 61754 for MT and MT-16 ferrules.

In addition to accommodating standard 250µm OD SM and MM fibers, the 250µm-pitch fiber holes also support fibers with

smaller outer diameters, including 200µm and 165µm.

MFC solutions deliver low-loss, IEC Grade B insertion loss performance and feature APC connectivity with excellent return loss.

MFC connectors featuring Kyomori-Ka sliding protective covers enable high-density functional applications.

The VMT ferrule bonds with the MFC housing, enabling error-free assembly.

Precision features with a long engagement length ensure ferrule stability, enabling a single-latch design that minimizes debris

while maintaining an industry-standard 250 µm pitch optical interface.
